October 2015 General Conference Notes – Women’s Session

Rosemary M. Wixom – Primary General President

rosemary-m-wixom-largeOur individual purpose began long before we came to this earth.

We come into this world trailing clouds of glory.

There are two important events in a woman’s life: the day she is born, and the day she finds out why.

Our divine nature has nothing to do with our personal accomplishments.

One of the sweetest messages the Spirit will relay is the one about you.

I am a child of God. Therefore, what?

I knew He was there and that He loved me.

The world needs you.

Once we begin to see the divinity in ourselves, we can see it in others.

The divine nature within us ignites our desire to reach out to others and prompts us to act.

Discover the depth of the divine nature that lies within you.

Linda S. Reeves – Relief Society General Presidency

We cannot play with Satan’s fiery darts and not get burned.

Go to Heavenly Father, the source of all truth, with your concerns.

You escape [your feelings of guilt] by accepting the atonement of Christ.

This life is the time to prepare to meet God. It is not the time to receive all of our blessings.

In that day of reward, we may feel to say…”Was that all that was required??”

Carol F. McConkie – Young Women General Presidency

carol-mcconkie-1190461Love one another and see in each other the beauty of the soul.

In the cause of Christ, we are all valued. We are all needed.

We are the cause for which Jesus Christ suffered, bled from every pore, and gave his life.

Family is the very heart of the work of salvation.

In the strength of the Lord we can do all things.

“Whatever tomorrow brings, wilt Thou help me through it?”

To shine with the beauty of holiness, to stand with the Savior, to bless others, we must be clean.

Give others a glimpse of heaven.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf – First Presidency

mormon-UchtdorfI discovered faith. Faith lead to hope. And hope gave me confidence that everything would make sense.

Because of the Savior, all the things that were wrong would be made right.

My story can have a happy ending.

Why get swallowed up in the past, or in present things that don’t go quite the way we planned?

Now is part of eternity.

Faith gave me the hope I needed to live joyfully now.

Fill your life with meaningful things.

It all leads to love.
